LAWRENCE, Kan. (KSNT) – A bank robbery in Lawrence this morning has police searching for a suspect tonight.
Shortly before 11:15 am officers responded to Truity Credit Union on West 6th Street. Bank employees reported a man demanded cash from one of the tellers. The employee complied and he left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured in the robbery and no weapon was displayed.
The suspect left in a taxi, but police found that the driver was not involved. The robbery suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, approximately 30 years of age, 5’10” tall, approximately 150 pounds, wearing a tan stocking cap, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, jeans and tennis shoes
