Helping Hands microchips pets for small fee

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Pet owners whose prized possessions once may have become lost and not be found, can rest easier.

The Helping Hands Humane Society micro chipped dogs at their tag day event from 12 to 4 pm Saturday. Tags were $25 and rabies vaccinations cost just $10. The Topeka Police Department’s animal control division also was there to register pets for city licenses.

According to the American Humane Association, more than 10 million dogs and cats are lost or stolen in the U.S. every year.
