A man has been arrested in Nebraska in connection to Lawrence bank robbery from Saturday.
Lawrence Police say 35-year-old Antonio Gaitan of Kansas City, Kansas…was arrested at an Omaha, Nebraska bus station.
This is in connection to late Saturday morning, when officers responded to Truity Credit Union on west 6th street in Lawrence.
Bank employees reported a man demanded cash and he left with an undisclosed amount.
No one was injured.
The suspect left in a taxi – investigators say the suspect paid the driver a lot of money to take him to Omaha where he was dropped off at the bus station where he was arrested.
Gaitan had an outstanding warrant through the United States Marshals Service for a parole violation, from a previous conviction for bank robbery.
Lawrence Police Detectives have linked him to the credit union robbery in Lawrence, as well as a bank robbery days earlier in the Kansas City area.
