Local GM dealers say they are still waiting for a repair part as part of a massive recall.
It’s in connection to a nationwide recall for faulty ignition switches that can immediately shut off, and leave drivers with disabled power braking and power steering.
The defect is linked to 13 deaths.
However, the new parts haven’t arrived in all Chevrolet locations…..including Ed Bozarth’s in Topeka.
Customers are being told the dealer hasn’t received the part from GM….and it could be until the end of the month.
Sunday, GM said owners of six GM models could bring their vehicles to a dealer to fix the ignition switch starting Monday.
Local GM dealers in Wichita say their shops have not received the new parts yet either.
