Homeless man arrested on multiple robbery charges

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – One person is in custody in Manhattan on various robbery charges.

Around 4 Sunday afternoon, the Riley County Police Department received a 911 call from 69-year-old Richard Rothfuss from Junction City saying he was confronted by an armed man in the 3100 block of Anderson and forced to drive to the 4100 block of Marlatt Avenue where he was robbed.

The suspect left in his 2014 black Chevy Silverado with cash, a bank card and his cell phone.

Thirty year old Jerred Snyder, listed as homeless was later arrested on a variety of charges.

RCPD tied Snyder to two other instances of robbery including one from earlier Sunday and a gun missing from a home no Thursday.
