(KSNV) A Las Vegas World War II veteran has been reunited with his long-lost uniform.
It started when World War II Marine Veteran Harold Loew got an unexpected call from a man in Wylie, Texas.
“He said he’d like to ask me questions to make sure that I’m the right Harold Loew,” Loew said.
That man, Master Gunnery Sgt. Steve Donelson, found Loew’s information online and asked Loew questions about his service. He asked about the battles he fought in and when and where he was discharged.
Lowe was discharged on November 22, 1945.
His discharge papers were stashed in the coat pocket of a uniform Sgt. Donelson’s daughters purchased for his Father’s Day gift.
