Washburn student-athletes took time on Monday night to give back to the community.
They hit the lanes for the annual Bowling with the Ichabods event.
“It’s a good time,” Washburn junior baseball player Connor Crimmins said. “It’s my second year doing it. Last year, it was a lot of fun and it’s been the same this year.”
Nearly 100 Special Olympians took part in Monday’s festivities at Gage Bowl.
“It’s great giving back to the community and these kids out here are just having a good time,” Crimmins said. “They always have a smile on their face. This is what it’s all about.”
The event is organized by the Washburn Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
