Gas leak closed Manhattan street

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – A soil company struck natural gas while drilling for samples in Manhattan.

Workers accidentally struck a Kansas Gas Company line in the 3200 block of Kimball Avenue. Three fire engines responded to the gas leak.     Traffic was stopped as Kansas Gas Company employees made repairs to the gas line.

There was no other damage from the leak.
