WAMEGO, Kan. (KSNT) – Business owners in Wamego are gearing up for what could be one of the biggest money making days of their lives.
It’s part of the 25th Annual Kansas Sampler Festival. Nearly 300 businesses will be setting up shop at the Wamego City Park.
Restaurants, organizations and clothing stores from all around the state will be selling their products.
Festival organizers say it could mean big things for the small city of Wamego.
We’re ecstatic that we were chosen to host the Kansas Sampler,” says Wamego City Manager Merl Page. “We’re anticipating a large event and it’s one of those things that time will tell but we’re preparing for a successful weekend, the weather looks great and we’re looking for some big numbers.”
The two-day festival is open to the public.
7,000 to 12,000 people are expected to check out the festivities this weekend.
