Washburn beats ESU in Game Two

EMPORIA, Kan. – Washburn used a strong offensive output to even the series with Emporia State and force a decisive game three. The Ichabods racked up 14 hits and scored three runs in both the sixth and seventh inning.

Corey Gragg was three for six with two runs batted in to lead WU. Connor Crimmins had three hits driving in two runs as David Gauntt added a home runs and scored twice. For the Hornets Levi Parker led the way driving in two runs while Wade Hanna scored twice. On the mound Taylor Gentry pitched five solid innings striking out four to earn the win while Maustin Otterstatter pitched four innings in relief to pick up the save.
