TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – There’s a new place to buy novelty cookies in Topeka.

Gayla kirk started making cookies 26 years ago for her family. She then began selling them at the farmers market and out of her home.

On Monday she finally opened her new business Cookies by Gayla at West Ridge Mall.

The cookies are her own recipe and most of the cookies and icing are made from scratch.

Kansas First News Anchor Natalie Davis tried some of her cookie nachos Tuesday morning and says they are pretty darn good.
