MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – A free benefit concert is being held in Manhattan to restore Peace Memorial Auditorium, a World War II memorial.
The American Music Spectacular will include about 100 Kansas State University students performing instrumentals, vocals and dance.
The event takes place at Peace Memorial Auditorium on Poyntz Avenue.
The prelude show starts at 7 p.m. and the main show at 7:30 Wednesday night.
In 1946 citizens approved a bond to build an auditorium that would serve as a living memorial for World War II veterans.
The old memorial needs improvements, donations will be accepted at the door to help finance these improvements.
