Lyndon superintendent disappointed after bond issue voted down

LYNDON, Kan. (KSNT) – The superintendent of Lyndon USD 421 is disappointed a bond issue didn’t pass Tuesday night.

The 12 million dollar bond issue failed by more than 400 votes. 198 voters said yes and 615 said no.

Brian Spencer says board members will likely discuss it at the next board meeting next Wednesday.

Spencer says he doesn’t want to make any snap decisions.

The proposed project would have relocated all students to a single building removing the need for the students to cross a busy street.

It would have also included new classrooms, a laboratory, an all school library, and a storm shelter.
