Michael Fritts spent years as a truck driver. Now, he feels…”a little bit like Batman,” he says, laughing.
And possibly a world record holder for making the first solo drive from New York City to Miami and back in an all-electric vehicle, making the trip in 58 hours and 15 minutes.
Ten years ago this week he had an aneurysm and underwent surgery for a mechanical heart valve.
“I wanted to celebrate the success of that by doing something special and fun and I also wanted to celebrate this wonderful vehicle,” he said.
Fritts is sending in an application to the Guinness Book of World Records, but says even if he doesn’t become a record breaker the journey was enough.
