There have been some alarming discoveries over the last week at Detroit Metro Airport, where TSA agents have discovered three guns and a throwing knife.
Saturday morning marked the latest incident at the airport, when a loaded .357 handgun was discovered inside a woman’s handbag. TSA spotted the loaded weapon as it passed through security. The woman was arrested on the spot.
Last Sunday, a .38 caliber handgun was found in another woman’s carry-on bag. The woman was an employee that worked at one of the retail shops inside Detroit Metro Airport. The TSA agents saw the loaded gun on the X-ray machine and arrested the woman.
A throwing knife was also confiscated at an airport checkpoint by the TSA, but no arrests were made.
Another gun was found at the airport last Thursday, when a man traveling to New York City was arrested. The loaded 9 mm in his carry-on was confiscated.
