ONAGA, Kan. (KSNT) – A 19 million dollar hospital expansion project is officially underway in Onaga.
The project involves an expansion on the 1971 hospital building a separate building from 1957 will be demolished.
The new building will have more modern amenities, including private rooms and a second operating room.
“Importantly our in-patient care areas will be improved significantly, and we’ll have great opportunity to expand our out-patient services,” says CEO of Community Healthcare System, Greg Unruh.
Voters in Onaga approved nearly 18 million in bonds to finance the project, the hospital will contribute one million.
