Seaman student killed in early morning accident

A recent Seaman high school graduate died after a car accident early Monday morning.

First responders were called to the area of  Northwest Lyman and Lincoln around 3:40 Monday morning on a report of a car slamming into a tree.

Upon arrival they found one person dead inside the smashed vehicle.  Topeka Police Accident Reconstruction  team members have been called to investigate and were still at the scene at 6:45 a.m..

According to the director of communications for USD 345, Ronald Graham II was the driver of the green Ford four door that ran into the tree.

It’s unclear what caused the accident at this time.

Graham was a Seaman High School senior who had just graduated over the weekend.

Seaman High School recently lost two other students to traffic accidents. Eighteen-year-old senior Emma Jo Pisocki and her father were killed in a head-on crash in Ottawa County in April, and 15-year-old Alayna Hutchinson died in February when the vehicle she was driving wrecked in Topeka.

  1. With the high school kids involved in driving accidents over past year or more, should there be people brought in to talk with them about there driving habits. Thank you
