A fire on a Minnesota school bus became a rolling inferno Tuesday afternoon.
Officials with the St. Paul Maplewood-Oakdale school district say the bus driver smelled smoke while driving and exited the interstate. No children were on board at the time.
He pulled over, put the bus in park and got out safely.
As firefighters arrived the bus started rolling towards one of their truck.
Fortunately the fire truck driver was able to put the vehicle in reverse and get out of the way.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
