TOPEKA – The NHRA Kansas Nationals kick off this weekend at Heartland Park Topeka. One driver who aims to make history at the track is Top Fuel racer Leah Pritchett.
“We’re coming up on our 100th female winner in the NHRA,” Pritchett said. “Right now we’re at 99, so I would love to be the 100th female to win a national event.”
Pritchett, who is in her second season on the Top Fuel circuit, turns 26 on Monday.
“I really enjoy this track and the fans here,” Pritchett said. “I feel like we’re really due for a win this weekend.”
The racing begins on Friday with final eliminations on Sunday at Heartland Park Topeka.
