The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Patricia J. Peay 52 of Mayetta Sunday morning following a vehicle pursuit.
At approximately 8:36am Sunday morning Peay allegedly passed a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy’s patrol vehicle at a high rate of speed at US Hwy 75 near 150th Road. The vehicle continued southbound. The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle; Peay failed to yield to the deputy’s signal and continued into Shawnee County.
A Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper deployed stop sticks at 35th and US Hwy 75 in Shawnee County. The vehicle came to a stop at the Soldier Creek Bridge on US Hwy 75.
Peay was placed under arrest and booked into the Jackson County Jail for the following: Felony flee and eluding a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, transporting and open container, driving under the influence and cited for a number of traffic infractions.
Bond is pending at this time
