The first phase of the Department of Agriculture’s move to Manhattan began today. This morning storage items, program equipment, file cabinets and items they don’t need access in the next week were loaded.
The remainder of the move of… Day-to-day equipment will be taken over next Friday. About 170 employees will be working at the Manhattan office when it opens on June 16th. In February the attorney general’s office determined the department’s move was within state law, as long as it still has a Topeka office.
