On Thursday, Storm Track Meteorologist Tom Hagen went on an Orientation Flight with the 190th Air Refueling Wing of the Kansas Air National Guard.  Their mission was to meet-up with F-16 Thunderbirds flying from the west coast the east coast and re-fuel them mid-air!  The KC-135 carried more than 100,000 pounds of fuel to fill up the seven Thunderbirds.  Several members of the media and civil leaders were invited to attend this exciting adventure.  The flight went from Topeka, to New Mexico, to West Virginia, and back to Topeka…refueling the Thunderbirds at about 26,000 feet!  A big thank you goes out to the men & women of the Kansas Air National Guard for taking Tom on a journey he will never forget.
