Last week, Storm Track Meteorologist Tom Hagen was at the 42nd Annual American Meteorological Society’s Broadcast Conference in Lake Tahoe. There were more than 100 other meteorologists from across the country in attendance to learn about the latest advancements and research going on in the field of weather. This is all designed to better serve you in Northeast Kansas!
Some of the topics covered included climate change, communicating severe weather risk and long range forecasting. After “weather school” let out for the day, Tom got the chance to explore beautiful Lake Tahoe. Check out his facebook and twitter for more photos of his trip. It was a productive, educational and fun conference in a neat part of the country!
