200 minors caught with alcohol at Country Stampede

POTTAWATOMIE CO., Kan. (KSNT) – Nearly 200 minors were caught with alcohol at the 2014 Country Stampede over the weekend.

New numbers released from the Potawatomie County Sheriff’s Office show that 196 minors were cited. Fourteen face charges of obstruction and four arrested for possession of illegal drugs. There was at least one sexual battery report, 4 battery reports, and 3 domestic violence reports. Five thefts were reported. A total of 29 people were arrested and jailed.

The numbers come from the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Wildlife and Parks, and the Kansas Alchoholic Beverage Control.

Twenty-nine people were taken to the Pottawatomie County Jail:  7 females and 22 males.
