The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on a Denison residence Saturday afternoon. The search warrant was issued as a result of an investigation conducted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office into the illegal cultivation of marijuana at 401 2nd Street in Denison.
Deputies served the search warrant on the residence shortly before 1:30 pm on Saturday. Arrested at the scene was Marvin S Jones 48 of Denison. Deputies seized components of an inside and outside growing operation in addition to numerous marijuana plants.
Jones was booked into the Jackson County Jail for felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful cultivation of a controlled substance. Bond in the matter was set at $20,000.00.
