Suspects caught relating to Marysville business thefts

MARYSVILLE, Kan. (KSNT) Four suspects have been caught Tuesday afternoon in Pottawatomie County according to Marysville Police Chief Todd Ackerman.

During the past weekend Marysville Police say they experienced multiple thefts from businesses.

During the night hours a 1996 Ford F-250, 2013 flatbed trailer, 2014 Grasshopper lawn mower, 2013 Kubota RTV side by side ATV were taken. Damage to property was made during the thefts in the thousands of dollars. The Ford truck and trailer were recovered Monday morning in Pottawatomie County in the Tuttle Creek State Park below the dam on River Pond Road.

A stolen credit card was used at the Marysville Wal-Mart by the listed suspects in the photos provided.

Authorities say the group was arrested when a citizen reported seeing a motorhome parked in Linear park near the Blue River Bridge in Manhattan. The citizen had seen a new cast about a similar stolen motorhome from Nebraska that had been involved in the thefts.

After getting a search warrant for the motorhome, police found stolen property as well as drugs inside the vehicle.

The suspects have been identified as 34 year old Douglas Hetrick, 34-year old Teresa Minard and 47 year old Steve Gensler of Omaha and 55 year old Denise Parks of Springfield, Nebraska. The four were arrested for possession of stolen property, as well as drug charges. More charges may be pending.
