Parts of US 24 still closed in Riley County

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) The Kansas Department of Transportation reports that as of 9 a.m. Tuesday all lanes of U.S. 24 from the U.S. 77 junction to the K-113 junction are still closed to all traffic northwest of Manhattan due to downed power lines from Monday night’s thunderstorms.

KDOT says it is expected to be open later Tuesday after repair work has been completed and that drivers must use alternate routes for their commutes.

Westar Energy is showing that as of 9:48 a.m. 662 remain without power in Riley County.
