Man arrested on multiple charges after running from police

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – A 28-year-old Ogden man couldn’t out run Riley County officers after a police pursuit and car chase.

Steven Meredith was arrested in the 400 block of Walters Drive in Manhattan shortly after midnight. Police tried to stop Meredith’s vehicle because of an active search warrant. He initially refused to pull over but eventually stopped his car and ran.

Meredith was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear as well as additional offenses of flee and elude, interference with law enforcement, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, and driving on a suspended driver’s license. His bond was set for $20,000.00

Twenty-nine-year-old passenger, Bridget Gakle, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set for $5,000.00.
