Junction City launches voluntary water conservation steps

Faucet - Dripping

JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) – Junction City leaders launched a water conservation measure late Friday, saying use over the past week has exceeded the city’s water plan.

The city says effective immediately, voluntary restrictions are being urged on all municipal water users.

Those restrictions include: washing full loads of wash, making sure faucets don’t leak and curtailing outdoor water of lawns.

There’s no indication how long the voluntary restrictions will be in place, and the city warns it may implement mandatory restrictions if the voluntary ones aren’t effective.
