Small plane crash in NW Kansas kills pilot

ELLIS, Kan. (AP) — The Kansas Highway Patrol says a pilot died when his crop dusting plane crashed in northwest Kansas.

The patrol says the fixed-wing single-engine plane went down Friday morning in a field northeast of Ellis.

The pilot was 23-year-old Garrett Moore of Oakley.

The aircraft was an Air Tractor AT-401B spray plane owned by Frontier AG of Oakley.
