Maybe you’ve heard the bands. Seen the kids brushing down the livestock a little more often. Smelled the corn dogs and funnel cakes.
It’s that time of year again, the county fair. What better way to start your county fair than with a parade.
“This is just probably one of the biggest events that is put on for the community by community members,” Jenniffer Wilson, County Extension Director said.
But a parade is a parade, the county fair is something special.
Whether you go for the food or the rides county fairs really haven’t changed much over the decades.
The fair is the big event for groups like 4-H and Future Farmers of America.
“Eat some carnival food, enjoy some funnel cake,” vendor Laura Kumle said.
Enjoy the county fair because just like the parade it’s only here for a little while.
