TOPEKA (KSNT) – Shawnee County election officials announced late Friday they are extending the hours people can participate in “advanced voting” ahead of the August 5th Primary election.
County elections Commissioner Andrew Howell says the change means the Election office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, July 28th through Friday, August 1st..
The deadline for advanced voting is 12:00 p.m.(noon) Monday, August 5th.
Voters may also request to have a ballot mailed to them by completing an application, which you can access here.
The elections office has set Friday, August 1st as the last day to mail out absentee ballots.
