TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Topeka Fire Department released numbers late Friday indicating that not everyone had a fun-filled July 4th.

The department released numbers showing permits were issued for 35 fireworks stands to operate over the three day week-end.

It also says there were 18 fireworks related fire incidents over the same period and that 14 people were injured in Topeka with another 11 injured in surrounding Shawnee County.
