Police: Getaway car carried young child in Kansas

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) – Police have arrested two people in connection with a Monday night robbery of a fast-food restaurnt.

Police responded to an armed robbery at the Wendys on Southwest Topeka Boulevard around 8 p.m. Monday night.

After finding and pursuing the vehicle, police determined the suspect fled on foot.   A short time later police found the suspect and his partner on the 800 block of Lindenwood, a child also was in the vehicle.

Thirty-seven-year old George Walton and 18-year-old Tashuan Walton were booked into jail on a number of charges related to the crime including child endangerment.
