Topeka hosts “National Night Out Against Crime” event

“Safe Streets” and local police say this Saturday marks “National Night Out Against Crime”.63-neighborhoods with an estimated 10,000 people are expected to take part throughout Topeka Saturday night.

The events are designed to get neighbors talking to each other about their communities and neighborhood watch programs. It’s also a chance for local police to chat with residents and community leaders about the challenges everyone faces preventing crime.
