Washburn superintendent to retire

A long-time Topeka educator has announced her retirement. Auburn-Washburn superintendent Brenda Dietrich announced today that she will retire at the end of the upcoming school year.

It will be her 14th year as head of the district. During her tenure, the school has seen growth from just more than 5000 students to around 6100 students this year. She will serve as superintendent through august first of next year.
