Washburn University hosts fundraiser for orphans

A local event to raise money to help orphans wrapped up just a short while ago on the campus of Washburn University. The Kansas office of lifeline children’s services held its second annual fundraiser this evening.

The money raised is used to help women in crisis pregnancies, help make adoption more affordable and provide job training skills for children aging out of orphanages. The group has helped with adoptions of more than two-thousand children in the u-s and abroad since 1981.
