(KSNT) – Police around the state are kicking off their annual campaign to keep drunk drivers off the highway over Labor Day weekend.
Wanda Stewart was there for the announcement in Wichita Thursday morning. Her three-month old son died of injuries after a drunk driver slammed into Stewart’s parked car.
In 2012 one-quarter of the 400 Labor Day highway fatalities involved drunk drivers.
The enforcement campaign begins Friday.
