TOPEKA (KSNT) – City residents will get two opportunities in August to voice their opinions of proposed hikes in water and sewer rates.
The City of Topeka is proposing increases for the minimum monthly charges for both water and wastewater services, increases to the volume charge for water and wastewater services and changes in the rates for irrigation water.
The city plans to outline the reasons for the hikes at two public meetings, and then solicit public comment on its proposals.
The meetings will be held:
Monday, August 25th – 11:30am to 1:00pm – Holliday Conference Room, 620 SE Madison
Tuesday, August 26th – 6:00-7:30pm – Holliday Conference Room, 620 SE Madison.
