TOPEKA (KSNT) – Patrons of the arts, and fans of the program were all at the 8th Annual “Works of Heart Art Event and Auction” Friday night at the Manner Conference Center in Topeka.
The event is organized by the Family Service and Guidance Center each year in Topeka.
On display at this year’s dinner and auction were two types of art – some professional but also some from the young clients at the center.
One budding artist told Kansas First news the idea for her painting came out of counseling sessions provided by the center.
Of course the professional artwork, more than 100 pieces, were auctioned off to help pay for the center’s programs.
All month you can see some of that art yourself at Wharehouse 414 in Topeka.
