LAWRENCE (KSNT) – Rock Chalk Park opens with a victory from the Kansas soccer team.

The Jayhawks defeated Wyoming 3-1 on Friday night in the inaugural match at the new multi-sport facility.

Liana Salazar scored the first goal just a 1:28 into the contest, then Lois Hewkin, a freshman from Scotland, gave the Jayhawks a 2-0 advantage before halftime.

Kansas plays host to SMU in the next match on Sunday.
