TOPEKA (KSNT) – A water line break Wednesday morning caused a towering geyser of water.
The break occurred at around 8 a.m. near SW 10th and Vitt Road, a few blocks west of Wanamaker.
It’s not known how the line was ruptured but it was brought under control less than an hour later. The break happened in the area where a small bridge is being replace near Vitt Road.
Traffic had already been detoured around that project while the bridge work is being done.
