KENNETT, Mo. (AP) — A Missouri inmate has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a woman whose body was found lying by a southwest Missouri road two years ago.
The Daily Dunklin Democrat reports that 35-year-old Glenn D. Morgan also faces two counts of distribution of a controlled substance in Dunklin County. No attorney is listed for him in online court records.
The charges filed last week say Morgan injected Autumn Medley with a mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl, causing her death. Medley’s body was discovered in September 2012 near Gibson. An autopsy determined the cause of death was a drug overdose.
No bond has been set. Morgan is incarcerated in the Missouri Department of Corrections on an unrelated matter.
