1 dead, 1 injured in morning Osage County accident

OSAGE COUNTY (KSNT) – The Kansas Highway Patrol says a Dodge Grand Caravan was traveling eastbound on K-268 when it crossed the center line and collided with a 2002 Toyota Camry just after 7 a.m. Monday.

The accident happened on K-268 about .2 miles east of K-368.

The driver of the Dodge was identified as 34-year old John Bradley Ruppert from Garnett, Kan. who was taken to KU Medical Center with unknown injuries and was wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the Toyota was identified as 52-year old Sue Dawnette Hoerner of Quenemo, Kan. who died of her injuries. Hoerner was wearing a seatbelt as well.

K-268 was closed Monday morning while crews worked the accident.
