St. Louis double robbery and police chase

ST. LOUIS (AP) – Four suspects are in custody in St. Louis and accused of two robberies, then leading police on a chase through downtown.

The robberies occurred late Tuesday and early Wednesday in south St. Louis. Police say the suspects took a cellphones, wallets, even a pair of jeans. It wasn’t clear if the victim was just carrying the pants or forced to give up jeans he was wearing.

When officers tried to pull over the suspect vehicle, a pursuit began that went through downtown. The chase ended in north St. Louis as the suspects tried to get out of the car.

A police dog helped capture one of the suspects, who was taken to a hospital for treatment of a dog bite. The injury was not serious.
