Two arrests made in Topeka missing girl case

According to a release from the Topeka Police Department,the investigation continues in the case involving an 8-year old Topeka girl.

Late Saturday night, the Topeka Police Department booked two suspects into Shawnee County DOC: Jeremy J. Lindsey, 28 year old male from Topeka for Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Child Endangerment, Aggravated Burglary and a Parole Violation Warrant.; and  Michelle L. Harris, 23 year old female from Topeka for Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Child Endangerment.

Police stated that there is still a lot of investigative work to be done. The Topeka Police Department is confident that the public is not in further danger with these arrests, and say that more charges may come as the investigation develops.

The agency recognizes and appreciates all the public and media support, tips, and information during the early stages of the investigation and search for Samara. Their focus now extends beyond the investigation as they seek to provide the proper support and resources for the best possible recovery for her and the family.
