Topeka business owner shoots intruder

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Just after 4 a.m. Friday officers were dispatched 1710 Southwest Topeka Boulevard on a call of a subject having been shot.

The call was the building owner who said he was inside the address when a subject broke- in. Police say there was some type of confrontation and the intruder was shot.

Captain Scott Conklin with the Topeka Police Department confirmed with Kansas First News that the owner is Kent Lindemuth, who was involved in an incident back in July at his business off SW 21st and Belle in which two people broke in trying to steal copper and Lindemuth shot at them.

The subject was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. Lindemuth was transported to the Law Enforcement Center where he is currently speaking to Detectives.
