Topeka teen works with police to complete Eagle Scout Project

TOPEKA,Kan.(KSNT)- Cole Resnik, a Life Scout with Troop 11 in Topeka, has been working hard towards his Eagle Scout. Garnering ideas from several people, Resnik chose to work with the Topeka Police Department for his Eagle Scout service project. An Eagle Scout service project must be one that is helpful to the community in some way and provides the scout with the opportunity to take on a leadership role.

Resnik, working with the Topeka Police Department canine unit, has made plans to build a canine obstacle and training course. the canine officers regularly train with their partners but have had no specific obstacle course in which to do this for several years.
