MANHATTAN (KSNT) – Riley County Police said late Wednesday night they’re searching for two men connected with a robbery.
Police spokesman Matthew Droge says the incident happened just off the Kansas State University campus in an alleyway of the 700 block of Bertrand Street around 7:00 p.m. Droge says the victim, a young woman in her 20’s suffered minor injuries during the strong-arm robbery by three men. It was reported to police at around 7:50 p.m.
Authorities say they are investigating whether this robbery is connected to an armed robbery and kidnapping early Wednesday morning. However, the two cases are very different according to Droge.
Police are searching for a black male standing approximately 5’11’’ with average build and corn rows who was wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans, and a gold chain necklace at the time of the robbery. Another suspect is described as a black male, lanky with either a shaved head or short hair and wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans, and an earring. Also, a medium complexion male with short hair who stands approximately 5’11’’ and was wearing a blue sweatshirt and dark colored athletic shorts.
