Corn crops estimated to increase

The government estimates this year’s corn crop in Kansas will be 592 million bushels — 17 percent larger than a year ago.The National Agricultural Statistics Service predicts a record yield of 160 bushels per acre.Sorghum, soybean and cotton production also will be higher.But sunflower production will be down.
